THE PRESIDENT OF THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION GAVE SPEECH ON 2ND DAY OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON "PROTECTION OF ANCIENT HUMAN SETTLEMENTS: THREATS AND MODERN APPROACHES"
On March 15, the second day of the international scientific-practical conference on “Protection of Ancient Human Settlements: Threats and Modern Approaches” was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center, organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Aktoty Raimkulova, addressed the conference and emphasized that developing a deeper understanding of the past, spirituality, and shared history of the Turkic peoples is only possible through the study of ancient human settlements.
She highlighted that to support efforts in this direction, the "Association of Restorers, Historians and Architects of the Turkic World" was established by the Foundation. Aktoty Raimkulova also noted that joint meetings and scientific-practical conferences will be organized in collaboration with the Association in the future.
In the context of rapid technological advancement, she underlined the importance of digitizing existing information and stated that the Foundation is actively working in this area. One of the Foundation’s key upcoming projects is the development of a multilingual catalog of Turkic cultural heritage, which is among its top priorities.
Additionally, the conference featured speeches from other distinguished participants, including Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan Farid Jafarov, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to UNESCO Elman Abdullayev, President of the Institute of Culture of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Saad S. Khan, Director of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of ANAS, Associate Professor Farhad Guliyev, and Deputy Director of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archaeology of the Nakhchivan Branch of ANAS Veli Bakhshaliyev, who addressed various relevant topics related to the theme of the conference.
