COOPERATION BETWEEN THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION AND THE UNIVERSITY OF WARSAW CONTINUES TO EXPAND
On June 3, 2026, an official meeting was held between the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, and the Vice-Rector of the University of Warsaw, Professor Maciej Raś. H.E. Nargiz Gurbanova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Poland, also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the parties held detailed discussions on the constructive cooperation established between the University of Warsaw and the Foundation, ongoing joint projects, and prospects for future collaboration. They emphasized the significance of the recently established Center for Turkic Culture and Heritage at the University, noting that it is expected to serve as a regional hub for academic and cultural cooperation. It was underlined that this initiative will make a substantial contribution to the development of bilateral scientific and cultural relations.
Particular attention was paid to the importance of expanding student and academic exchange programs. The participants noted that the steadily increasing number of students from the Turkic world studying at the University of Warsaw is a clear indicator of mutual interest and successful integration.
Professor Aktoty Raimkulova highly praised the special attention and support provided by the Polish state for the preservation and study of the cultural heritage of Turkic-origin communities living in Poland, particularly the Tatars and Karaims. She emphasized that this approach represents a vivid example of the country’s multicultural society and atmosphere of tolerance.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue implementing joint scientific and cultural projects and expressed confidence in the successful development of their future cooperation.
