INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL “RUH SANAT” TOOK PLACE IN KYRGYZSTAN BY THE ORGANIZATION OF THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION

On August 1, 2025, under the organization of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the International Festival "Ruh Sanat" was held in Kyrgyzstan. On this date, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Aktoty Raimkulova, took part in the grand opening ceremony of the International Traditional Culture and Music Festival "Ruh Sanat" in the city of Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region.

The large-scale event, which lasted from August 1 to 3, was organized by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Scientific-Research Center for Traditional Culture and Art of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, and the National Theater "Manas."

The opening ceremony was also attended by the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, Deputy Minister Edil Baysalov, Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic Mirbek Membataliev, Deputy Director of ICESCO Baku Regional Office Maryam Gafar-zade, Director of IICAS Evren Rutbil, as well as statesmen, art figures, and media representatives.

The main goal of the festival was to present the rich intangible cultural heritage of the world, to strengthen international cultural dialogue, and to contribute to the preservation of authentic traditions. The program included an international traditional music competition, a scientific-practical congress, and a creative fair.

This year’s festival brought together more than 100 artists and researchers from over 30 countries. In the international music competition, 9 solo performers and 12 groups from Japan, India, Hungary, Guinea, and other countries participated. The performances were evaluated by 7 international experts in traditional art, and the winners were awarded honorary diplomas and cash prizes.

One of the most memorable performances of the festival was the concert of the "TURAN" ethno-folklore group, a unique cultural ambassador of the Turkic world. Musicians participating at the initiative of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation stood out with their active involvement, while international scholars joined the discussions of the scientific-practical congress.

The event turned into a prestigious platform that demonstrated the importance of joint activity of art and science for the development of cultural heritage.
