A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION PARTICIPATED IN A ROUNDTABLE HELD AT ADA UNIVERSITY
On February 17, 2026, a roundtable entitled “The Caspian Emergency: Causes, Consequences, and Solutions” was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan, the Clean Energy Center of the Economic Cooperation Organization (CECECO), and the Institute for Development and Diplomacy (IDD) of ADA University.
Project Manager of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Leyla Hasanova, participated in the event.
Within the framework of the roundtable, extensive discussions were held on the ecological changes observed in the Caspian Sea, the decline in water levels, the preservation of biodiversity, its strategic importance for energy and transport corridors, as well as the necessity of coordinated action among the countries of the region.
During the speeches, it was emphasized that the Caspian Sea holds not only ecological but also cultural and historical significance, and the importance of strengthening multilateral cooperation for the protection of the shared natural heritage was highlighted.
The event was assessed as an important platform for ensuring sustainable development in the Caspian region, developing joint response mechanisms to existing challenges, and expanding international dialogue in this direction.
