THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION EXPANDS COOPERATION WITH SCIENTIFIC AND CULTURAL INSTITUTIONS OF AZERBAIJAN
President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, held a series of meetings at leading scientific and cultural institutions of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting held at the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova met with the President of the Academy, Academician Isa Habibbayli. The parties discussed the existing cooperation ties and explored prospective areas for further collaboration.
Special attention was paid to the organization of the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, held in Baku in 1926, ensuring it is celebrated at a high and solemn level. Within the framework of the jubilee events, an exchange of views took place regarding the Foundation’s active participation, as well as the initiation of joint scientific and cultural initiatives.
Subsequently, the President of the Foundation met with the Director of the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum, Mrs. Amina Melikova. The meeting addressed opportunities for cooperation in preserving Turkic carpet weaving traditions, conducting scholarly research, and promoting this heritage more broadly at the international level. The parties also discussed prospects for implementing joint projects aimed at restoring samples of Turkic carpets preserved in European museums, emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts in this field.
The meetings were held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and constructive dialogue, and further expansion of cooperation was identified as a key priority.
