PRESIDENT OF THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION MEETS WITH THE PERMANENT DELEGATE OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE TO UNESCO

On June 1, 2026, during her working visit to Paris, the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, held an official bilateral meeting with the newly appointed Permanent Delegate of the Republic of Türkiye to UNESCO, Ambassador İhsan Mustafa Yurdakul.

Professor Aktoty Raimkulova congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his efforts to further strengthen the cultural diplomacy of the Turkic World. During the meeting, Türkiye’s role as one of the founding member states of the Foundation was particularly highlighted.

Ambassador İhsan Mustafa Yurdakul, expressed his gratitude to the President of the Foundation and stated that the Permanent Delegation stands ready to engage in consultations to support the international projects of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.

During the discussions, it was particularly emphasized that the continuous diplomatic support provided by Türkiye’s Permanent Delegation to UNESCO plays an important role in the successful implementation of the Foundation’s global initiatives.

As successful outcomes of the Foundation's activities, the Foundation’s major projects were highlighted during the meeting, including the first multilingual catalogue of the cultural heritage of the Turkic World, “The Cultural Code of the Turkic World,” as well as the multi-volume multilingual anthology “Heritage of Turkic Folklore”.

The participants also drew attention to the significant achievements in organizing large-scale conferences, exhibitions, and international programmes at UNESCO Headquarters, dedicated to the anniversaries of outstanding figures of the Turkic World and to the promotion of the shared cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.
