MEMBER OF THE MILLI MAJLIS OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN NIGAR ARPADARAI VISITED THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION

On 17 July 2026, Member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mrs. Nigar Arpadarai visited the headquarters of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, where she met with the Foundation’s President, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova. During the visit, the Member of Parliament was introduced to the Foundation’s headquarters, its publishing activities, and the projects implemented to promote the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic World.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the Foundation’s participation in Baku Climate Week, which is scheduled to take place in September.

Mrs. Nigar Arpadarai noted that the initiative to incorporate the themes of cultural heritage and ecology into the event’s program deserves high appreciation, emphasizing that this approach offers a new perspective on the climate agenda through the lens of cultural heritage.

The parties also held a comprehensive exchange of views on the Foundation’s interdisciplinary initiatives implemented in recent years. During the discussion, it was emphasized that the interconnection between cultural heritage and such fields as environmental protection, urban development, and sustainable development represents one of the key areas responding to the challenges of the modern era. In this context, activities of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation were recognized as being of particular importance.

The meeting concluded with discussions on issues of mutual interest and an exchange of views on the prospects for future cooperation.
