AT THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION, PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK BY THE HEAD OF APPARATUS OF THE ORGANIZATION WAS HELD

On July 10, 2025, the headquarters of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation hosted the presentation of a book authored by the Foundation's Chief of Staff, Fakhri Valehoghlu-Hajiyev, titled “Azerbaijani-Georgian Relations (1918–1922): A View Through the Prism of Diplomatic Missions”.

The event began with an opening speech by the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova. In her address, Professor Raimkulova welcomed the guests and provided detailed information about the Foundation’s key projects, international cooperation programs, and new initiatives implemented in recent years.

According to her, the presented publication is not only a historical study but also a valuable initiative aimed at strengthening cultural bridges between nations. “Azerbaijan and Georgia have built their relations over centuries based on mutual respect and strategic partnership,” emphasized the Foundation’s President, adding that research into the diplomatic relations between the two countries contributes to a deeper understanding of the region’s shared cultural and historical heritage. Professor Raimkulova concluded her speech by congratulating Azerbaijani diplomats on their professional holiday.

The monograph was highly praised by: President of the International Turkic Academy, academician Shahin Mustafayev, Member of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rizvan Nabiyev, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan (ANAS), scientific editor of the book, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Karim Shukurov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Turkmenistan, Gismat Gozalov, Head of the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Raman Mammadov, Representative of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan Eljan Imamverdiyev, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Badrikhan Ahmadli, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist Solmaz Tohidi-Rustamova, Professor Asif Hajili.

The speakers noted that the monograph is a significant contribution to Azerbaijani and broader Turkic historiography. They expressed their gratitude to the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, for her attention and support to Azerbaijan’s diplomatic legacy. The importance of continuing scholarly work in this field was also particularly emphasized.

The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the Republic of Azerbaijan, government officials, figures from the fields of science, culture, and socio-political life, as well as media representatives.
