TASHKENT TO BRING TOGETHER WRITERS FROM UZBEKISTAN AND KAZAKHSTAN AT THE FORUM “SPIRITUAL HERITAGE OF THE TURKIC WORLD: LITERATURE – A DIALOGUE OF ERAS AND GENERATIONS”
On 2–3 September 2026, Tashkent and the Tashkent Region will host the Forum of Writers of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan entitled “Spiritual Heritage of the Turkic World: Literature – A Dialogue of Eras and Generations”.
The Forum will be held in the year marking the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress (Baku, 1926), and the 585th anniversary of the birth of the great Uzbek poet and thinker Alisher Navoi. Particular significance is attached to the event in light of the initiative of His Excellency Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to convene international conferences dedicated to the anniversary of Alisher Navoi.
The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Khokimiyat of the Tashkent Region, the Writers’ Unions of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, and the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.
