PRESIDENT OF THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION PARTICIPATES IN THE 19TH MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF ELDERS OF THE OTS IN ALMATY

On June 22, 2026, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, participated in the 19th Meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), held in Almaty.

The opening session of the meeting, hosted by the Republic of Kazakhstan and continuing until 23 June, featured remarks by the Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States, Mr. Binali Yıldırım, the elders of the OTS member states, as well as the heads of Turkic cooperation organizations.

In their speeches, the participants emphasized the relevance of the issues included in the agenda, after which the meeting continued with discussions and an exchange of views on key areas of cooperation.

Addressing the meeting, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, paid particular attention to the issues included in the agenda, notably the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the First Baku Turkological Congress of 1926, highlighting its historic significance for the formation of a common intellectual space of the Turkic World. She also underscored the importance of introducing modern digital technologies and artificial intelligence tools into the processes of preserving, studying, promoting, and transmitting the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples to future generations.

Professor Aktoty Raimkulova expressed the Foundation’s readiness to continue supporting the initiatives and recommendations of the Council of Elders aimed at strengthening the unity of the Turkic World, preserving the common heritage, and ensuring intergenerational continuity.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the recommendations of the Council of Elders, developed on the basis of the exchange of views and proposals during the discussions, were officially adopted.
