A MEETING WAS HELD BETWEEN THE PRESIDENT OF THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION, AKTOTY RAIMKULOVA, AND THE SPEAKER OF THE MILLI MAJLIS OF THE REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN, SAHIBA GAFAROVA

On February 28, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, met with the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Ms. Aktoty Raimkulova.

Welcoming the President of the Foundation, the Speaker of the Parliament spoke about the importance of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. She emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to the strengthening of the Turkic world and recalled the words of President Ilham Aliyev: "We have no other family. Our family is the Turkic world."

The Speaker stated that this Foundation, established on the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev, allows Turkic peoples to become more familiar with each other's culture and heritage, fostering closer ties among brotherly nations. Noting that the Foundation has been operating effectively, she emphasized that there is significant potential and, most importantly, a strong desire to further expand its activities.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that the Foundation plays a crucial bridging role in preserving, promoting, and passing on the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world to future generations. The Foundation contributes significantly to strengthening intercultural dialogue by emphasizing the values of the Turkic peoples. These efforts help the Turkic world gain greater recognition on a global scale and enhance appreciation for its cultural values.

The President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Ms. Aktoty Raimkulova, stated that the establishment of this Foundation was a correct and far-sighted decision. She emphasized that culture is a form of "soft power" and plays a vital role in bringing nations closer together.

During the meeting, Ms. Aktoty Raimkulova provided information about the activities, projects, and future plans of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation. She also highlighted that they have adopted President Ilham Aliyev’s words, "We have no other family. Our family is the Turkic world." as their motto and are structuring their work accordingly.

Expressing her gratitude for the warm reception and organization of the meeting, the President of the Foundation thanked Speaker Sahiba Gafarova, the Department of International Relations, and the Secretariat of the Parliament. She reaffirmed that the Foundation will continue its efforts at a high level to research, preserve, and promote the historical and cultural values of Azerbaijan and the broader Turkic world internationally.
