PRESENTATION OF THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF THE TURKIC WORLD AT THE 43RD SESSION OF THE UNESCO GENERAL CONFERENCE
On November 4, 2025, during the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference in Samarkand (Uzbekistan), a historic and significant event will take place — for the first time in the history of the Turkic world, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation will hold a presentation of unique projects reflecting the depth and grandeur of Turkic civilization:
• Catalogue of the Cultural Heritage of the Turkic World “Cultural Code of the Turkic World”, developed in accordance with the strategic documents “Turkic World Vision – 2040” and “TURKTIME”, adopted by the Heads of the Turkic States;
• Multivolume multilingual publication “Heritage of Turkic Folklore”, implemented in line with the initiative of His Excellency Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and supported by the Heads of State of the Turkic countries.
It should be noted that in order to implement these unique projects, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation brought together prominent scholars and experts from across the Turkic world, who made an invaluable contribution to the systematization, study, and transmission of the centuries-old cultural and scientific heritage of the Turkic peoples to future generations.
As part of the program, there will also be a celebration of the proclamation 15th December as the World Turkic Language Family Day, adopted by the resolution of the 43rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference on November 3, 2025. The event will be attended by the Permanent Representatives to UNESCO of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Hungary, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Uzbekistan, international organizations, as well as leading scholars, representatives of cultural institutions, and media.
The event will be accompanied by a performance of the ethno-folklore ensemble “Turan”, Ambassador of Turkic Culture and Heritage.
This event will become another landmark occasion in the history of the Turkic peoples, reflecting the international recognition of their linguistic and cultural unity, as well as the contribution of the Turkic civilization to the development of world culture and humanitarian cooperation.
