ANNUAL TRADITION OF STRENGTHENING COOPERATION: THIRD MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION HELD IN BISHKEK

On February 27, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Third Meeting of the Council of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation was held in Bishkek at the Ala-Archa State Residence.

The meeting was attended by the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova; the Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Mirbek Mambetaliev; the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Ozodbek Nazarbekov; the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mrs. Saadat Yusifova; Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Aibek Sydykov; the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Mekin Mustafa Kemal Ökem; the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Mr. Kubanychbek Omuraliev; as well as other representatives of state bodies of the Turkic countries.

During the meeting, a report on the Foundation’s activities for 2025 was presented, the progress of ongoing projects and initiatives was reviewed, and priority areas of work for 2026–2027 were discussed.

Following the meeting, the Council members reaffirmed their commitment to the consistent implementation of the planned projects and approved key guidelines for the upcoming period aimed at further developing cultural cooperation among Turkic countries, expanding joint international initiatives, enhancing collaboration in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, and strengthening the unified humanitarian space of the Turkic world.

It is worth noting that the first meeting of the Foundation’s Council was held in the Republic of Azerbaijan (2024), the second in the Republic of Kazakhstan (2025), and the third is being held in the Kyrgyz Republic, continuing the established annual practice of meetings.
