PRESIDENT OF THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION MRS. AKTOTY RAIMKULOVA ATTENDED THE PRESENTATION OF THE JOURNAL “ÖVRAQI-NƏFISƏ”

On February 17, 2026, a presentation of the transliterated edition of “Övraqi-nəfisə”, the first art journal in the history of Azerbaijani press, was held at the Azerbaijan National Conservatory. The event was attended by the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova.

It was noted that during the period of its publication, “Övraqi-nəfisə” covered various fields of art and played an important role in promoting ideas of national self-awareness and enlightenment.

The event was also attended by the Rector of the Azerbaijan National Conservatory, Mrs. Kamila Dadash-zade; the Rector of ADA University, Mr. Hafiz Pashayev; the Executive Director of the “The Writer's House" Foundation for Literary Support, Mrs. Shafag Mehraliyeva; the journal’s transliterator and author of notes and commentaries, philologist and translator Mr. Azad Aghayev; as well as the Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Academician Rafael Huseynov.

The event was regarded as an important milestone in bringing Azerbaijan’s press heritage to modern readers and strengthening the shared cultural ties of the Turkic peoples.
