THE PRESIDENT OF THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION MET WITH THE DEPUTY AKIM OF ALMATY (KAZAKHSTAN)
On March 6, 2026, the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, held a meeting with the Deputy Akim of the city of Almaty, Mr. Abzal Nukenov.
During the meeting, the parties discussed future projects. The main topic of the discussion was the prospects for strategic cooperation between the Foundation and the Almaty City Akimat for 2026–2027. The sides exchanged views on further steps aimed at promoting the shared Turkic heritage at the international level.
Particular emphasis was placed on the significance of the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Nurgisa Tlendiyev, which was successfully held in 2025 at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The event, jointly organized by the Foundation, the Almaty City Akimat, and the Permanent Delegation of Kazakhstan to UNESCO, brought together prominent representatives of the Turkic world and became one of the most successful initiatives within the framework of Almaty’s inclusion in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network since 2017.
The President of the Foundation, Professor Aktoty Raimkulova, expressed her deep gratitude to the leadership of the city of Almaty for their support in promoting and developing the cultural heritage of the Turkic world on the global stage. She also emphasized the Foundation’s readiness to continue this partnership at a new stage by implementing even more large-scale joint projects.
