THE PRESENTATION CEREMONY OF SULEYMAN ÇELEBI'S BOOK "MEVLUD", PUBLISHED BY THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION, WAS HELD AT THE 41ST ISTANBUL BOOK FAIR

The 41st Istanbul Book Fair hosted the presentation ceremony of Suleyman Çelebi's book "Mevlud", published by the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation

As you know, this year Azerbaijan is represented as an Honorary Guest at the 41st International Istanbul Fair held in Turkey. The Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation is also exhibiting its publications at the stand allocated to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and is also organizing a number of events. The next event organized by the Foundation was the presentation ceremony of the book "Mevlud" by the prominent Turkish thinker Suleyman Çelebi, published in German and Turkish by an international organization.
For centuries, the presentation ceremony of Suleyman Çelebi's book "Mevlud", which has been one of the most widely read books in the Turkic world and is still considered one of the most cited sources among the mevludnamas, has aroused great interest among visitors at the Istanbul Book Fair. The presentation ceremony was opened by Farid Huseyn, an employee of the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation, who provided detailed information to the exhibition participants about the Foundation's projects of international importance, including the protection of cultural heritage, including the promotion of the cultures of Turkic peoples on a global scale, as well as the three book series established by the Foundation - "Outstanding Personalities of the Turkic World", "Scientific Pearls of the Turkic World", "Literary Pearls of the Turkic World". F. Huseynov spoke about the life and work of the great personalities of the Turkic world, which are constantly kept in the spotlight by the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation, both in their birth and memorial years, and also brought to the attention of the numerous works carried out by the Foundation to promote their creative heritage in the world. He also emphasized that Suleyman Çelebi's book "Movlud" will be published by the Foundation in 2022 - within the framework of the "Year of Commemoration" of the outstanding artist, on the 600th anniversary of his death.
Later, the editor of the German edition of the book, the well-known writer Orkhan Aras, informed the event participants about the personality, life and works of Suleyman Çelebi, and expressed his high appreciation for the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation's promotion of the works of Ashıg Veysel, Ömer Seyfettin and other classics in the world by publishing them in German, in terms of spreading Turkish culture throughout the world.
At the end of the event, the young writer, member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union Ravan Javid informed the audience about the essence of the work "Mevlud" and expressed his gratitude to the Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation for its role in promoting such valuable works in the international world.
