TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION WAS REPRESENTED AT AN INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM IN TÜRKIYE

On October 23, 2025, the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, in cooperation with the Azerbaijan Cultural Center under the Embassy of the Azerbaijan in Türkiye, TİKA, and the Nizami Ganjavi Foundation, organized an international scientific symposium - “The Genius of Turkic Philosophical Thought: Nizami Ganjavi” at Atatürk University (Erzurum, Turkey).

At the symposium, the Foundation’s representative, Farid Huseyn, delivered a presentation entitled “The Philosophy of Death in the Works of Nizami Ganjavi.” In his speech, he spoke about the activities of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the organization’s efforts to promote Nizami Ganjavi’s legacy worldwide, and elaborated on the topic of his report. Later, the Foundation’s publications about Türkiye, as well as books dedicated to the works of Nizami Ganjavi, were presented as gifts to the students and the university library. On behalf of the Rector of Ataturk University, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the Foundation’s representative.

The event featured speeches by Dr. Fizuli Majidli, Counselor of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Türkiye; Arzu Tabrizli, Co-founder of the Nizami Ganjavi Foundation Public Union; Professor Ahmet Hacimuftuoglu, Rector of Ataturk University; and Professor Nemat Yildirim, Head of the Department of Persian Language and Literature at Ataturk University. In their remarks, they emphasized the importance of promoting the literary heritage of the great poet more widely across the Turkic world.

The international scientific symposium played a significant role in promoting the shared spiritual and cultural values of the Turkic world, in exploring the philosophical and literary aspects of Nizami Ganjavi’s heritage from new scholarly perspectives, and in fostering the interest of young researchers in this field. Within the framework of the event, participants exchanged views and put forward proposals for future joint projects dedicated to the works of Nizami Ganjavi.
