CULTURAL HERITAGE AND FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS: NEW VECTORS OF COOPERATION BETWEEN THE TURKIC CULTURE AND HERITAGE FOUNDATION AND THE NATIONAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

On January 27, 2026, within the framework of an official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan, a meeting was held between Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, and Mrs. Aliya Moldabekova, Deputy Chair of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on possible areas of cooperation aimed at preserving and promoting the shared historical and cultural heritage in the contemporary context.

It was emphasized during the discussions that national currencies serve not only as economic instruments but also as carriers of Turkic identity, historical memory, and cultural values. The parties highlighted the importance of analyzing international experience in this field at the national level. Potential opportunities for cooperation were also considered in areas such as the visual representation of cultural heritage in numismatics, institutional exchange of experience and implementation of educational initiatives.

Mrs. Aktoty Raimkulova, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, expressed her deep gratitude to the leadership of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan for organizing the meeting and for the warm reception. She noted that such business contacts contribute to strengthening institutional ties within the Turkic world.

In turn, Mrs. Aliya Moldabekova, Deputy Chair, underscored the particular importance of the institutional approach of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, which brings together various fields, as well as the cooperation platforms it has established in the area of cultural diplomacy.

As a result of the discussions, a shared vision for the next stages of cooperation was formed, and an agreement was reached to continue contacts in areas of mutual interest and to take consistent steps in this direction. It was noted that the next stage will involve identifying possible cooperation mechanisms and discussing initial practical steps.
