"Today, the Turkic world is once again uniting and returning to its historical roots. The Turkic world stands at the beginning of the Orkhon-Yenisei civilization," said Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Kyrgyzstan Kanybek Imanaliyev in the new edition of the project dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.

"In my opinion, the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress should be celebrated across the entire Turkic world at the highest, most solemn, and meaningful level. This event must receive its political and spiritual recognition," he added.

Kanıbek Imanaliyev also noted that Kyrgyzstan was represented at the First Turkological Congress by the country’s first Minister of Education Kasym Tynystanov and the first enlightener Daniyar Bazarkulov: "Unfortunately, both of them fell victim to Joseph Stalin’s repressions in 1937–1938. I believe that most of the participants of that congress became victims of repression because they raised the issue of language. And wherever the issue of language is raised, the question of independence inevitably arises."
